Continuation methods for nonlinear problems

  • lectures by Jan Sieber
  • 15–19 December 2025
  • Sala riunioni, DMIF; Microsoft Teams

Program

The school will introduce approaches to treatment of nonlinear problems such as systems of algebraic equations or discretizations of differential equations that go beyond ready-to-use bifurcation analysis tools. It will also include practical sessions where participants have time to explore the use of COCO (https://sourceforge.net/projects/coco/) with support. Some activities also involve the use of MatCont (https://sourceforge.net/projects/matcont/). Participants are encouraged to bring nonlinear problems relevant to their research.
